Call for proposals:

BABYLON is happy to announce an extension of its current annual programme to include a project development and marketing workshop in Berlin from 27th to 29th November produced by BABYLON's German partner Script House.

The Berlin workshop is aimed particularly at German-based filmmaking teams of cultural minority background or interests. Writer/director and producer teams seeking to extend their range and audience will work side by side with European colleagues of the Babylon network.

Interested filmmakers should apply by submitting project proposals in the form of treatments or screenplays in German or English accompanied by filmographies and other supporting documentation.

Intensive development feedback will be offered during the workshop by international script and production experts concentrating on creative content and market strategy. Round table discussion of presentation and pitching, co-production and finance negotiation will also feature in the workshop.

Submission deadline:
15th October

Conditions:

The submission of a convincing treatment or screenplay for a full-length film (fiction or documentary). Previous experience (for instance): one produced feature film, television programme or short films; completed previous screenplay; film festival participation; film school graduation.

Fees:

Euros 150 per participant
Participants will cover their own travel costs to and from Berlin
Accommodation and meals will be provided by the programme
