Elena Tikhonova: Biography

Project Title: VERA, NEDESHDA I LYUBOV
Elena Tikhonova works as a film director, screenwriter, editor and VJ.
She was born in Obninsk, the town of the "peaceful atom" and one of the major Russian science cities.
She graduated from Moscow's film university "VGIK" in cinematography for feature and documentary films.
Since 2000 she has been living and working in Vienna. She has been involved in numerous documentaries as well as short and experimental film projects, recently as the co-director of "Elektro Moskva", a documentary film about electronic music in Russia.She performs with different artists as VJ "Mirniy Atom" (peaceful atom).
